First 5G NTN verification

In August 2022, ZTE together with industry partners, conducted the world's first operator 5G NTN field verification, verifying the networking feasibility of high-orbit satellite transparent forwarding, the feasibility of NTN solving problems such as long delay and wide coverage, the capability of mobile and satellite direct-connection.

Complying with 3GPP standard

5G NTN supports voice/broadband data/IoT service and global operation, significantly reduces the cost of terminals. Compared with special satellite terminals and cellular+satellite dual-mode terminals, 5G NTN is based on 3GPP standard, has obvious advantages such as continuous technology evolution, and lower connection cost.
