ZTE NetTwinGuard creates a proactive defense mechanism for core networks
- ZTE launches NetTwinGuard, an AI-powered digital twin agent for proactive signaling storm defense
- It supports five major typical scenarios, achieving a simulation accuracy rate of over 95%, and slashing simulation time from over eight hours to within half an hour

Shanghai, China, 19 June 2025 - ZTE Corporation(0763.HK / 000063.SZ), a global leading provider of integrated information and communication technology solutions, has launched its innovative NetTwinGuard at MWC Shanghai 2025. This solution deeply integrates network digital twin (NDT), multi-dimensional small models, and AI - driven simulation algorithms to tackle the industry challenge of preventing signaling storms and optimizing disaster recovery decisions in core networks.
Confronted with the challenge of service interruption caused by signaling storms in core networks and the limitations of traditional simulation drills, NetTwinGuard pioneers high-precision digital twins for networks at the ten-million scale. It enables risk-free simulation of signaling storms across multiple scenarios and rapid parameter optimization, boosting disaster recovery decision efficiency by 10 times. This fundamentally shifts core network resilience strategy from "passive disaster response" to "proactive immunity".
ZTE's NetTwinGuard innovation lies in intelligently planning disaster recovery tasks, leveraging long/short-term memory for signaling data, and orchestrating internal and external tools for data collection and prediction. This creates an intelligent simulation system achieving "zero-risk" storm simulation and "precision" decision-making:
· High-precision core network digital twins: Based on AI algorithms and multi-source statistical models, this solution digitally replicates key elements such as network topology, signaling routes, and terminal behavior on a 1:1 basis. It calculates the load-impact on network elements at a second-level granularity, with highly realistic simulation waveforms and a digital twin precision of over 95%.
· Flexible storm scenario orchestration: With a built-in library of rich scenario models, it supports the flexible combination and simulation of more than 30 service scenarios. These include resource pool disaster recovery, network element switchover, and sudden traffic surges during holidays, capable of creating tasks within minutes.
· Intelligent parameter optimization and decision-making: Using discrete event simulation algorithms, it can optimize flow control parameters from tens of thousands of combinations within minutes. This ensures the fastest possible convergence of services while minimizing their impact. It accurately identifies network bottlenecks and guides network optimization.
· Closed loop verification and automatic deployment: After verifying the effectiveness of configurations in the digital twin network, it automatically deploys them in the live network. This achieves a closed loop disaster prevention and control process that is "one-click pre-simulation, real-time visible during the event, and zero-rollback afterwards".
To date, the solution has been piloted in multiple provinces in China for resource pool disaster recovery switchover simulation, realizing a joint impact assessment of all network elements and cloud - resource pools for the first time. It has reduced simulation time from over eight hours to within half an hour, increasing efficiency by more than 90%. Comparative verification shows a simulation accuracy rate of over 95%. ZTE's NetTwinGuard not only improves O&M efficiency but also fundamentally transforms signaling storm scenarios from post-event passive handling to pre-event active prevention.
Moving forward, ZTE will continue to deepen the application of digital twin technology in core networks, tackling key points such as the integration of fine grained data collection and digital twin application technologies. Meanwhile, the company will promote the evolution from single point prevention and control to global autonomy, expecting to build a "digital immune system" for core networks in the 6G era.
With great commitment to continuous technological innovation, ZTE aims to provide global operators with more reliable and intelligent network solutions, helping the communications industry step forward into a new era of intelligence.
