ZTE debuts Clues Analysis System

Date:2014-03-12 ZTE Click:187

12 March 2014, Shenzhen, China – ZTE Corporation (“ZTE”) (H share stock code: 0763.HK / A share stock code: 000063.SZ), a publicly-listed global provider of telecommunications equipment, network solutions and mobile devices, has launched the Clues Analysis System (CAS) at the CeBIT in Hannover, Germany. The CAS is an important part of ZTE’s U-Safety public safety solution. With its intelligent analysis of surveillance video, it can quickly identify suspicious persons, vehicles and goods for detection. This greatly improves the speed of data investigation, reduces the workload of video analysis and checkpoint investigation, prevents the missed detection caused by fatigue, and saves manpower.

Surveillance video analysis is an important tool for assisting the public safety departments for detection. Based on traditional video management systems, ZTE developed the function of identifying faces and license plates among massive video clips and integrated gathering, mining and analysing massive checkpoint data. This makes the CAS industry’s first practical system that achieves a comprehensive analysis of video and checkpoints vehicle clues.

The CAS provides the world’s leading services for video feature and behavior analysis. Feature analysis intelligently identifies the feature information of targets, such as face, body appearance, license plate, vehicle appearance, and goods appearance. Behavior analysis investigates the behavioral information of targets, such as gathering of people, gang fighting, virtual wall transboundary, people wandering, traffic congestion, and vehicle violation.

The CAS has greatly improved face match and license plate retrieval functions. Face retrieval helps to identify all the faces available in massive video clips and match faces to get the related video clips. The face detection rate is greater than 98 percent. License plate retrieval helps to retrieve vehicles according to the character strings of specified license plates and get the related video clips. Video abstraction, a feature of  the independently developed algorithm, is used to extract the valid dynamic information from massive video clips, separate the background and moving targets, superimpose time and space based on the same background, and concentrate into a brief abstract. It reduces the time of video inspection. In addition, the CAS also provides real-time vehicle tracking, evaluation and analysis of urban risky vehicles, and vehicle feature matching services. It undertakes the rapid screening of suspicious vehicles, quick location of target vehicles, and vehicle tracking.

ZTE is committed to providing services for customers to achieve more efficient case detection and promote social harmony and stability. ZTE’s U-Safety public safety solution is commercially available in more than 40 countries and regions, and has been named as the industry’s most competitive integrated public safety solution by the consulting company, Frost & Sullivan.
