- ZTE's initiative was selected as an outstanding case of "Jointly Building a Community with a Shared Future in Cyberspace"
- Three replicable cooperation models cover joint cloud operations, sovereign cloud development and support for Chinese enterprises' overseas expansion, with reference in Indonesia, Algeria and Mexico
- ZTE combines full-stack ICT capabilities, localized delivery and global partnerships to address computing infrastructure needs in international markets
Wuzhen, China, November 4, 2026 - ZTE Corporation (0763.HK / 000063.SZ), a global leading provider of integrated information and communication technology solutions, announced that its initiative supporting Chinese internet and cloud companies' overseas expansion and digital infrastructure development in emerging markets has been selected as an outstanding case of "Jointly Building a Community with a Shared Future in Cyberspace" at the 2026 World Internet Conference opened on November 2 in Wuzhen, Zhejiang Province.
The recognized initiative, "ZTE Empowers Chinese Internet Companies' Cloud Going-Global with Global Capabilities, Co-building Digital Infrastructure in Emerging Markets", brings together ZTE's networking and computing technologies, international delivery capabilities and ecosystem partnerships. It addresses infrastructure requirements arising from Chinese companies' international growth while supporting the computing needs of local customers.
Three cooperation models for digital infrastructure development
ZTE has developed three replicable cooperation models that connect Chinese technologies, products and ecosystem resources with demand in overseas markets: joint cloud operations with telecom operators, joint sovereign cloud development, and digital infrastructure support for Chinese enterprises expanding overseas.
Joint cloud operations with telecom operators. This model brings together ZTE, local telecom operators and Chinese cloud ecosystem partners to jointly operate local hybrid clouds, helping small and medium-sized enterprises access and use cloud services. A cloud project in Indonesia illustrates this approach, with ZTE working alongside leading local operators and Chinese partners to support local cloud adoption.
Joint sovereign cloud development. This model focuses on building secure, locally controlled public cloud platforms that integrate cloud services with AI applications. In Algeria, for example, ZTE created a full data security framework that supports on-premises data storage and off-site disaster recovery. The model is being progressively replicated in other African countries.
Digital infrastructure support for Chinese enterprises expanding overseas. This model provides computing infrastructure to support Chinese companies' international operations and the development of local digital ecosystems. In Mexico, for example, ZTE supplies a high-performance computing hardware foundation for core mobility and financial services, supporting leading Chinese internet companies as they scale overseas. A localized digital payment platform has also been deployed to improve everyday digital services, providing a practical reference for similar deployments.
Technology and delivery capabilities supporting deployment
These projects come as Chinese internet companies expand internationally across social networking, e-commerce and cloud services. At the same time, countries are investing in computing infrastructure, with growing demand for sovereign clouds, integrated computing and power infrastructure, and green AI data centers.
Drawing on more than four decades of ICT experience, ZTE integrates AI across its product portfolio and combines networking and computing capabilities in end-to-end AI computing solutions. Designed to be standardized, modular and easy to deploy, these solutions help reduce implementation barriers and enable customers to build local AI capabilities.
ZTE supports deployment through local teams, logistics and delivery centers, and service centers across Asia-Pacific, the Commonwealth of Independent States, Europe, Latin America, the Middle East and Africa, etc. Its diversified global supply chain and production footprint support continuity of product delivery and the execution of complex projects.
The company has been committed to providing innovative technologies and integrated solutions for global operators, government and enterprise, and consumers from over 160 countries across the globe, serving over one-third of the global population. It has also established 12 joint innovation centers and showcase sites outside China.
Local development and future cooperation
Alongside infrastructure projects, ZTE supports local talent development, charitable donations and digital innovation as part of its environmental, social and governance (ESG) commitments. These activities connect business expansion with longer-term participation in local communities.
ZTE will continue to work with global partners to develop secure, reliable, intelligent and resilient digital infrastructure with an optimized total cost of ownership (TCO). Through its full-stack ICT capabilities and international partnerships, the company aims to support digital development and contribute to a community with a shared future in cyberspace.
