Nukus, Uzbekistan, September 16, 2025 - ZTE Corporation (0763.HK / 000063.SZ), a global leading provider of integrated information and communication technology solutions, and Mobiuz, a leading telecommunications provider in Uzbekistan, announced the successful completion of the first phase of a major network modernization project in the Republic of Karakalpakstan and the Khorezm region. The project marks a significant step in digitizing Uzbekistan's regions. The comprehensive network upgrade has dramatically enhanced network performance and capacity for Mobiuz subscribers. An official ceremony was held in Nukus to present the results, attended by government officials and media representatives.
The technical execution of the project involved the extensive modernization of network infrastructure. This included the replacement of radio relay systems and base stations, along with the activation of over 1,200 new base stations across both regions.
This strategic network enhancement project has already delivered significant improvements in service quality and connectivity for residents and businesses in both regions. The comprehensive upgrade has resulted in a substantial increase in internet speeds, with recorded gains of 20% in Karakalpakstan and 33% in the Khorezm region. Furthermore, the enhanced network capacity has supported a notable growth in data traffic, rising by 36% and 34% respectively.
These improvements have been formally recognized through independent testing conducted by the Republican Center for Telecommunication Networks Control of Uzbekistan, which confirmed Mobiuz as the leading provider for both internet speed and network reliability across these two regions.
