  • ZTE Distributed Storage System, ZXCLOUD KS10000, based on the industrial mainstream distributed storage system Ceph,  by use of its design concept of excellent performance, reliability and scalability, develops functional expansion to applications according to actual production environment, such as intelligent deployment, storage management function optimization and performance tuning, to fully meet the future service requirements of enterprises, to help them transform the IT system in order to faster and better deal with the increasingly fierce competitive environment, and finally to achieve common growth together with customers. 
    This product is used for large storage resource pools, virtualized data centers, middle and large databases, multimedia video data storage, Internet applications, backup disaster recovery and other fields and industries.

    1.Unfied Storage, Open & Compatible
    ■Compatible with OpenStack, CloudStack and other virtualization platform, supports cloud host, cloud storage public cloud and private cloud;
    ■Supports FC/iSCSI/RBD block storage;
    ■Provides REST API as well as S3 and Swift interfaces; the user invokes the REST API to perform cluster management and object storage, or directly uses the S3 or Swift client to access the storage cluster;
    ■Provides the posix file storage interface, to provide file storage service by sharing directory;
    ■Provides metadata and data separation, to store data in different storage pools; supports to configure multiple data storage pool to store different sharing directory;

    2.Elastic Scalability, Flexible Configuration
    ■Uses the general-purpose X86 architecture server, supports 3~4096 servers, supports expansion from TB to EB
    ■Provides flexible expansion mode, to separately or simultaneously expand hard disks and storage nodes
    ■Load balancing, controllable impact of data migration. When a new node or hard disk is added into the storage system, data migration only involves the new node, that is, only the data of existing node should migrates to the new node, no need of data migration between existing nodes, so that the  system quickly reaches the load balancing state. 
    ■Creates multiple metadata servers in the cluster, to achieve load balancing, improve file access speed;
    ■Supports thin provisioning
    ■Supports online expansion, supports online volume size expansion

    3.High Performance, High Reliability
    ■Supports hierarchical storage. The system distributes hotspot data to the built-in high-performance storage layer (enterprise-grade SSD), and distributes non hotspot data to the built-in common performance storage layer (SAS or SATA)
    ■Supports the growth of storage node number, linear expansion of throughput and IOPS performance
    ■Supports the application of full-SSD storage resource pool
    ■Supports cluster management, no single failure impact in the system; when one node or one hard disk fails, it is automatically isolated from the cluster, causing no impact to the use of system services
    ■Supports multi- replication backup/erasure coding mechanism to ensure data reliability
    ■Support strong data consistency processing 

    4.Automatic O&M, Simple Management
    ■Supports intelligent deployment function, easy to complete the cluster build, expansion, migration, upgrade;
    ■Supports visual management interface; the administrator can control the entire cluster, to complete the configuration management of storage pool, block storage and object storage and other;
    ■Supports alarm customization function, to customize the different levels of alarm according to different application scenarios,  easy to master the cluster state;
    ■Supports storage area division to ensure that the hardware damage of the same storage area  will not affect the services of other areas; to ensure that different storage media can provide service separately;
    ■Supports disk failure detection and automatic replacement to join the storage cluster, supports remote room to guide disk replacement;
    ■Supports tenant isolation, domain-oriented management function, to improve O&M security.
