With respect to computing virtualization, ZTE has delivered mature integrated and optimized products on XEN and KVM platforms and focuses mostly KVM for VDCs. Based on open-source KVM, ZTE strengthens optimization and integration for HA and high performance. HA optimization involves the integration of KVM with hardware watchdog, VM HA, and VM live migration. High performance optimization includes memory scheduling optimization (which employs the non-uniform memory access (NUMA) feature of the CPU to optimize VM memory access performance and implement automatic NUMA balancing) and CPU optimization (including binding virtual CPU (VCPU) cores to a VM, unbinding VCPU cores from the VM, and preventing the user-mode process of the host from interfering with VCPU functions, such as host isolation). The preceding optimization delivers a performance of more than 20% higher than open-source KVM.
