ZXR10 5950 Series
The ZXR10 5950 Series switches are a family of 1RU-high all gigabit routing stackable switches for operators/campus access and aggregation scenarios. The series provides up to 60 interfaces (48*GE + 12*10GE). With VSC2.0 (Virtual Switch Cluster 2.0) technology, the switches deliver improved resilience and flexibility. The switches support full IEEE 802.3at Power over Ethernet Plus (PoE+) to fulfill more access scenarios. Zero-touch provisioning and IEEE 802.3az Energy Efficient Ethernet (EEE) make the network not only easy to maintain but also energy-efficient.

 

Powerful Service Transmission Capability
■ By supporting rich L2 switching and L3 routing functions as well as low latency forwarding, the ZXR10 5950 series switch can carry multiple services including WLAN, Internet, voice, video and other data services.
■ Comprehensive L2/L3 multicast protocols (PIM-SM, PIM-DM, PIM-SSM, MLD, IGMP snooping) allow for IPTV, multi-terminal high-definition video surveillance and other multicast services.
■ Flexible hardware forwarding table distribution allows the size of ACL table to be configured as needed  to satisfy more application scenarios.

 

Innovative VSC(Virtual Switch Cluster)Technology
■ Supporting VSC2.0, enhances the capacity and port density of the cluster system, and simplifies network topology and management.
■ Real-time hot-standby information synchronization between master and backup switches can ensure seamless switchover to prevent network failures and enhance network reliability.
■ The stacking bandwidth between VSC switches can reach 160 Gbps, which solves the bandwidth bottleneck of VSC and provides a real-time non-blocking VSC system.

 

Comprehensive IPv6 Features
■ Supporting rich IPv6 unicast routing protocols: IPv6 static routing, RIPng, OSPFv3, IS-ISv6, and BGP4+.
■ Supporting multicast features: MLD v1/v2, MLD snooping, PIMv6, etc.
■ Rich IPv4-to-IPv6 tunnel technologies: IPv6 manual tunnels, 6-to-4 tunnel, ISATAP tunnel and IPv4-compatible automatic tunnels, etc.

 

Flexible PoE/POE+ Standard
■ Ethernet power supply complies with 802.3af  (PoE) and 802.3at (PoE+) standards. It is used to provide power for remote devices (including IP phones, WLAN APs, and network cameras) through twisted-pair cables.
■ Support assigning time periods for PoE. In time periods when power output is not needed, the PoE function can be turned off to save energy.
■ PD port power detection. If the actual power is greater than the PSE-distributed power, power supply is stopped.

 

Enhanced Reliability and Multi-dimensional Security
■ Supporting ZESR+ Ethernet ring network protection, and recovering the system from any link or node fault within 50ms.
■ Supporting multiple authentication modes such as 802.1 x, Radius and TACACS+.
■ CPU overload protection and DDoS prevention guarantee a secure network.

 

Low OPEX and Green Design
■ The innovative M-Button function allows for instant troubleshooting and minimizes OPEX.
■ IEEE 802.3az EEE (Energy Efficient Ethernet). Via chip-level power management, ports can automatically sleep when there is no traffic.
■ Comply with ROHS, WEEE and ISO14001 certifications. No plumbum (Pb) in all the product materials and the whole production process. Recyclable and degradable packing materials.
