Global launch of ZTE’s iPAD videoconferencing software terminal

23 April 2013, Shenzhen, China – ZTE Corporation (“ZTE”) (H share stock code: 0763.HK / A share stock code: 000063.SZ), a publicly-listed global provider of telecommunications equipment, network solutions and mobile devices, has launched an iPad videoconferencing software application and announced a videoconferencing system partnership with Swedish distribution firm Wiktors at the Ljud, Ljus och Bildmässan (LLB) exhibition in Stockholm, Sweden.

The ZTE ZXV10 iSee T100i is a multimedia software terminal that complies with the H.323 protocol and provides a brand-new experience in convenient communication, and easy collaboration for tablet PC users. iPad users can download and install it through the AppStore, to easily and freely enjoy video communications with any H.323 protocol–based conference terminal or MCU (multipoint control unit).

With the ZXV10 iSee T100i, users can connect into a videoconference anytime and anywhere. Working with the firewall-crossing ZTE FTS1000 server and M900 video conferencing server, the ZXV10 iSee T100 app can adapt to a variety of complex network environments and pass through network firewalls. It supports multipoint conferencing, DTMF dialing and conference control, receiving secondary video, address book, and other commonly used video-conferencing functions.

In recent years, tablet computers such as the iPad have swept the world and quickly gained many millions of users. With the increasing maturity of 3G networks and the ubiquity of WiFi connections, network access costs for tablets has been greatly reduced. Tablet users also spend more time on the Internet than those using traditional PCs, so demand for this type of service is increasing.

At the LLB exhibition, ZTE launched the videoconferencing software terminal for iPads, and presented a live demonstration of multi-client intercommunications using data, voice, and video.

"I am delighted to participate with Wiktors at the LLB exhibition, the largest professional video exhibition in Northern Europe,” said Xu Ming, Vice President of ZTE. "ZTE will use this platform and work with our partners to demonstrate to the industry our advanced technology and industry-focused solutions, to help more enterprise customers to enjoy the benefits of advances in information technology, and to become their trusted partner."

"I am glad to cooperate with ZTE. The market needs a convenient and unified communications solution,” said Peter Bohmelin, Chairman of Wiktors. “The ZXV10 iSee T100i that ZTE has released today offers the best choice for enterprise customers and end customers of tablet computers. It will help enterprises to enhance communication efficiency and to enjoy cost-effective services at any time.”

In recent years, as a growing force in the global enterprise networking field, ZTE has been building its worldwide distribution channel to create more demand alongside its value chain partners. ZTE’s enterprise sales revenue grew by 70 percent in the first half of 2012. The company’s enterprise network business covers the vast majority of industries, and has developed rapidly in the energy, transportation, public utilities, government, and corporate sectors. ZTE already has more than 1,600 channel partners in the enterprise network field.
