May 20, 2009, Thailand－ ZTE Corporation (“ZTE” or the “Group”) (H share stock code: 0763.HK / A share stock code: 000063.SZ), today showcased its IPTN solution –ZXCTN 6000 series, ZXCTN9000 series and IP/MPLS solution – multiservice edge router ZXR10 T600 in Thailand. ZTE announced that it had the highest Optical Networking (ON) industry sale growth with its bearer network products in 4Q 2008, according to the 4Q08 report published by international research firm Ovum.. The report stated that ZTE outperformed all other vendors with a 27% year-over-year sales increase for its bearer network products, which include multiservice bearer products and Wavelength Division Multiplexing (WDM) products.

ZTE’s bearer network products consist of multiservice bearer products, WDM products and data communication products. ZTE took this opportunity to exchange ideas with major carriers in Thailand including TOT, CAT, AIS, DTAC and TRUE so as to well understand the local market demands, provide the most suitable solutions and service and lower TCO for carriers.

ZTE’s IPTN solution and products (ZXCTN 6000 series and ZXCTN 9000 series) are oriented to 3G/LTE and full-service operation and IP-based service development trend. They employ full-packet structure, open platform and packet technologies to offer different end-to-end transport solutions for users in different applications. Applied to metro networks at core, convergence and access layers, they meet transport network demands at different stages, reduce CAPEX and OPEX, and build efficient, flexible, low-cost metro transport network with energy conservation and green environmental protection.

ZTE’s data communication router series, including high-performance core router series T1200/600, has advanced hardware structure, overall route protocol and a wide variety of interfaces. They are widely deployed in backbone networks across the world. Carrier-class switch 8900 series has modular structure and cost-effective interfaces such as 10GE. ZESR ring technology provides carrier-class protection switching for the networks at access/convergence layer.

ZTE entered the Thailand market in 1999 and set up the Thailand office in 2002. Now ZTE’s multiservice bearer products, WDM products, MSAN products and IN products are widely deployed in Thailand. In 2008, ZTE built the national backbone optical transmission network for CAT, Thailand’s second largest fixed line carrier. This project further increased market share of ZTE’s bearer products in Thailand.

To date, ZTE’s bearer network products have been serving 360 carriers in 105 countries and regions covering Europe, Asia Pacific, Latin America, Africa and Middle East.
