The world economic forum's (WEF) inaugural annual meeting of the new champions has been held at China's Dalian on September 6-8, WEF is an independent international organization which has been recognized as "the world's top economic meeting". About 1700 experts, CEOs, and officers from different industries have attended this forum and Mr Wen Jiabao, China's prime minister, addresses at the opening ceremony of this forum.
ZTE's board Chairman, Mr Hou Weigui, has been invited to address at this forum about Asia technology transformation potential to discuss business development, technology innovation and internationalization with many attendants. Mr Hou pointed out during the discussion of building self developed technologies in developing countries that "the development history of many Chinese high-tech companies has demonstrated the fact that to grow with self developed technologies is necessary and successful, this experience can be used for reference for many companies in both developing and developed countries."
