22 October, 2019, Shenzhen, China - ZTE Corporation (0763.HK / 000063.SZ), a major international provider of telecommunications, enterprise and consumer technology solutions for the mobile Internet, today announced that it has participated in the “Four Layers” interoperability C-V2X Application Demonstration in Shanghai, China. This demonstration features China’s first cross-modules, cross-terminals, cross-vehicles and cross-security platforms C-V2X Interoperability Application Demonstration. It is organized by IMT-2020 C-V2X work team, China Industry Innovation Alliance for the Intelligent and Connected Vehicles(CAICV), China Society of Automotive Engineers and Shanghai International Automobile City (Group) Co., Ltd.
At the event, ZTE has demonstrated four types of V2I scenarios (Speed Limit Warning SLW, Bridge Ahead Warning BAW, Vulnerable Road User VRU, Red Light Violation Warning RLVW and Green Light Optimal Speed Advisory GLOSA), three types of V2V scenarios (Forward Collision Warning FCW, Blind Spot Warning System BSW and Abnormal Vehicle Warning AVW), and four type of security mechanism verification scenarios (Fake Speed Limit Warning Defense, Fake Traffic Light Information Defense, Fake Emergency Vehicle Defense and Fake Forward Collision Warning Defense).
Moreover, ZTE has provided its C-V2X module and C-V2X OBU in order to achieve an all-round demonstration across "Module-Terminal-CA Service-Vehicle". That effectively verifyied ZTE's integrated C-V2X solution and laid a solid foundation for the large-scale commercial use of C-V2X technologies.
Based on the "Three-Layers" Interoperability Application Demonstration in 2018, the demonstration this time focuses on the additional communication security demonstration scenario, effectively verifying the C-V2X communication security technology solution, in a bid to promote the development of a complete and secure C-V2X industry chain.
Committed to developing future technologies to lead 5G, connected cars, and IoT while maintaining the advantages of traditional automotive-grade modules, ZTE has been actively promoting the development of C-V2X.
ZTE has released multiple 4G automotive modules, terminals, a series of C-V2X modules, OBUs and RSUs, aiming to provide Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V), Vehicle-to-Infrastructure (V2I), Vehicle-to-Pedestrian (V2P) and information exchange between the vehicle and the Internet, so as to pave the way for autonomous driving in the 5G era.
As a pioneer of 5G technologies, ZTE boasts profound technological accumulation and rich experience. In the first half of 2019, ZTE has developed over 30 5G serialized solutions and completed more than 50 demonstration projects in nearly 20 industries, including industrial Internet, big video, connected cars, media, energy, public safety, health care, education, environmental protection and transportation. In strategic cooperation with more than 300 industry customers, ZTE has jointly deployed service applications along with them. Moreover, ZTE has collaborated with over 200 industry-leading product providers to launch 5G-based solutions oriented to different industries.
Moving forward, ZTE will continue to play its role in the field of autonomous driving and provide global users with reliable terminal devices. ZTE Axon 10 Pro 5G and ZTE 5G Indoor Router MC801 have been put into commercial use worldwide. ZTE has also completed a 5G data service connection with 5G Module ZM9000 under the 5G NSA/SA network. In the future, ZTE will launch a full range of 5G automotive products to facilitate the development of autonomous driving and the vehicle-road coordination.
