16March 2016, Shenzhen, China – ZTE Corporation (0763.HK / 000063.SZ), a major international provider of telecommunications, enterprise and consumer technology solutions for the Mobile Internet, today announced the launch of TrueMeet, a hybrid cloud-based video conferencing solution (VCS).

 

The ZTE TrueMeet VCS platform uses universal server architecture, which can be deployed on the public or private cloud. This means it can be can be conveniently deployed according to user requirements saving huge hardware investment, and reducing maintenance workloads, which effectively reduces operational expenditure (OPEX) and capital expenditure (CAPEX).

 

The service system of the ZTE TrueMeet conferencing platform uses a multi-tenant and hierarchical management mode to enable a leased service model. It also interconnects with mainstream video conferencing systems through standard protocols to protect the existing investment for users. It can provide video conferencing as a service (VCaaS) based on the VDC to enable an elastic scaling capability, which minimises costs for customers during dynamic operation. It supports convening cross-enterprise or cross-domain video conferences to expand communication and collaboration for end users. It also supports a multiple-protection mechanism to guarantee video conferencing security.

 

ZTE TrueMeet supports rapid access for multiple types of terminals, such as fixed telephone, mobile phone, application clients, and web real time communication (RTC), and supports multiple communication modes, so that users can focus on communication itself rather than being inconvenienced by complicated conference tool operations. TrueMeet supports the virtual conference room by enabling users to call virtual conference room numbers from the terminal to conveniently join a conference.

 

At CeBIT 2016, ZTE will demonstrate its TrueMeet-based augmented reality (AR) tele-education application. This secure, low-cost, and full-simulation TrueMeet interactive experiment, which creates a new mode for tele-education, is an optimal choice for replacing expensive experimental equipment.
