Hangzhou, China, September 25, 2026 - ZTE Corporation (0763.HK / 000063.SZ), a global leading provider of integrated information and communication technology solutions, met with Malaysian Prime Minister Dato' Seri Anwar Ibrahim during his working visit to China. 

Accompanied by Chinese Premier Li Qiang, Malaysian Prime Minister Dato' Seri Anwar Ibrahim and his delegation visited the ZTE booth, where ZTE introduced its advanced OEX (Orthogonal Electrical eXchange) architecture, which acts like a universal "AI Super-Brain" plumbing system, allowing different brands of AI computer chips to plug in and work together seamlessly without being locked into a single manufacturer, dramatically cutting down the time needed to build massive AI networks.

The Prime Minister also engaged in a one-on-one meeting with Xu Ziyang, CEO of ZTE and other ZTE senior executives. This provided an opportunity to exchange views on Malaysia's digital transformation priorities and the growing role of advanced digital technologies in supporting the country's economic development. Discussions touched on areas of mutual interest including artificial intelligence, next-generation digital infrastructure, cloud and computing technologies, digitalisation of public services, and talent development.

Malaysia is pursuing higher-value and technology-driven investments that can contribute to technology transfer, develop local talent, and create quality employment opportunities, fully in line with the Malaysia Digital 2030 (MD 2030).

ZTE CEO Xu Ziyang reaffirmed the company's long-term commitment to Malaysia and its readiness to support the country's digital ambitions and the 13th Malaysia Plan (13MP) through technology innovation, ecosystem collaboration, and capability development.

ZTE has maintained a longstanding presence in Malaysia and continues to collaborate with telecommunications operators, government stakeholders, universities, and industry partners in areas including digital connectivity, technological innovation, and talent development.

The company recently strengthened its industry-academia collaboration in Malaysia, including initiatives supporting digital talent development and knowledge sharing in areas such as artificial intelligence and future communications technologies.
