23 March 2017, CeBIT, Germany – ZTE Corporation (0763.HK / 000063.SZ), a major international provider of telecommunications, enterprise and consumer technology solutions for the Mobile Internet, has announced its GoldenData VAP solution at CeBIT 2017 in Germany.

ZTE’s GoldenData VAP is a video big-data product that integrates a video and image analysis engine, a data analysis and determination subsystem, and a mass data storage subsystem. The solution can identify human forms, face and vehicle videos or images from card interfaces/real-time streams of e-police, video/image files and monitoring platforms. Depending on different types of targets, it extracts and analyses the corresponding structural features, and outputs results.

The data analysis and determination subsystem is a carrier that presents the service function of the GoldenData VAP. It provides diverse functional components for data analysis and determination. Real-time data analysis provides data pre-processing functions for various services, scenarios, event surveillance and subject matter determination. The offline data analysis function comprehensively analyses the existing data sets, and provides data integration, data mining and evaluation on a wider range and deeper depth. Major functions include data retrieval analysis and subject matter determination. Data retrieval analysis focuses on the retrieval of feature data of videos and images, including vehicles, human shapes, faces and events, and the image search function. Subject matter determination focuses on subject-specific scenario analysis, covering a wide range. For example, vehicles include various subjects, such as false plate, fellow, no-plate, high-frequency, hiding by day and driving by night, first entry to the urban, temporary location, and gathering. The system can query and analyse tens of billions of data items and ensure a 99.5 percent vehicle plate identification rate.

The mass data storage subsystem permanently stores the data of GoldenData VAP. It is constructed based on ZTE's GoldenData HD big-data platform and provides a high capability of data analysis and mining. The big-data platform is a file data system developed based on Hadoop distributed file system (HDFS) by ZTE. It uses the open-source Hadoop technology and can provide high openness, reliability and expandability. ZTE's big data centre has passed the "big data platform reference test" of the Data Center Alliance with its high-performance, fault tolerance, and security features. In the big-data platform test for China Mobile, ZTE ranked first place with a test score much higher than those of other manufacturers. GoldenData VAP has many use cases of large-scale node application, such as the 500 nodes of the Agricultural Bank of China, the 180+ nodes of China CITIC Bank, and the 60 nodes in Zhuhai, China, and was highly praised by customers.

With the rapid development of video analysis and artificial intelligence worldwide, video big-data analysis becomes a core technology, which is why all financial systems wish to participate in the market. ZTE GoldenData VAP possesses leading technologies and rich experience in case implementation. "The ZTE GoldenData VAP solution unveiled at CeBIT this year is an important part of the end-to-end solution in ZTE's government and enterprise offering. It will lay a solid foundation for ZTE's artificial intelligence and video big-data products in the future global market", said Mr. Luping, VP of ZTE Corporation.
