1 June 2015, Nice, France – ZTE Corporation (0763.HK / 000063.SZ), a major international provider of telecommunications, enterprise and consumer technology solutions for the Mobile Internet, launched its deep network traffic analysis tool ZXDNA at the TM Forum. The ZXDNA  performs visible operation and maintenance (O&M) of network traffic, provides a strong and powerful basis for network planning and supports service operation. This is the first time that ZTE has exhibited the ZXDNA, with the solution boasting rich traffic reports, simple operation mode, personalised configuration and high expandability.

It is estimated that after the mobile network enters the age of 4G, bandwidth demands will rise by more than 10 times the amount of the 3G era. At present, LTE network construction adheres to a gradually evolving, stage-by-stage model. Through the reinforcement of the strength of O&M software, the performing of all-round network traffic monitoring and the timely optimisation of resource and network structures, operators can fully exploit network potential and effectively improve productivity and market competitiveness.

The ZXDNA network traffic analysis tool can extract valuable information from the mass data collected by the network management systems (NMS), and display it in diverse report forms. It also enables the user to set automatic alarms on thresholds, generating reports regularly and pushing notifications by email or SMS, so that the user can be alerted of the network traffic trend, load and hotspot problems in a timely, efficient way. This system can effectively guide the operators to effectively plan network construction and optimise network structure to avoid congestion. It also enables operators to establish traffic archives to arrange support for important activities and provide traffic analysis data as a reference for routine network O&M and market operation.

So far, the ZXNDA tool has been successfully deployed and used in Guangdong Mobile (13 cities and the provincial backbone network), Shanghai Mobile, Shaanxi Mobile, Jilin Mobile, Hunan Mobile and Yunnan Mobile. It is estimated that ZTE’s ZXDNA solution can reduce O&M manpower costs by 30 percent, guiding network traffic planning and capacity expansion.
