The nominated solutions are ZTE backbone PTN ZXCTN 6500 and LTE Relay eNodeB - ZXSDR BS8912 respectively.

The LTE World Summit gathers industry leaders from around the globe to share achievements and explore the future of LTE. As the most significant awards for LTE, the Telecoms.com LTE Awards recognise the enterprises that have made preeminent contributions to the industry. All awards are selected by representatives from industry-leading carriers, including BT, Spain's Telefonica, AT&T, France Telecom, and Deutsche Telekom AG.

Supporting LTE-Advanced Relay, the ZTE ZXSDR BS8912, shortlisted for Best LTE RAN Product, features an LTE one-line base station which effectively improves signal quality at cell edges and weak coverage areas, enhances user experience and reduces network deployment costs. As the industry's first TD-LTE commercial solution that supports LTE-Advanced relay, the ZXSDR BS8912 marks a key step towards the commercial deployment of relay technology, which will help to develop high-performance, low-power TD-LTE networks.

LTE bearer networks require packet transport network (PTN) equipment with large bandwidth, advanced networking capability, sound adaptivity to flat network architecture, convenient management tools for large networks,  and powerful support for layer 3 virtual private networks (L3 VPN) and future evolution to packet optical transport networks (POTN). In May 2013, industry analyst Frost & Sullivan recognised the ZXCTN 6500 as the Most Competitive Product for the LTE bearer network in its PTN Market Analyst Briefing 2013.
