8 May 2012, Budapest, Hungary – ZTE Corporation (“ZTE”) (H share stock code: 0763.HK / A share stock code: 000063.SZ), a leading global provider of telecommunications equipment and network solutions, has announced that theHungarian Minister of Economics Mr. György Matolcsy and ZTE Corporation Senior Vice President Mr. Zhu Jinyun have signed a co-operation agreement for the establishment of ZTE's new European Regional Network Operation Centre (NOC) in Budapest, Hungary.

This NOC will improve ZTE’s overall delivery capacity in Europe, providing high speed, high quality and effective management services for European telecom operators. The new NOC will provide a comprehensive range of management services including a customer service centre, a network monitoring centre, a fault handing centre, a network performance optimisation centre, a spare parts management and repair centre.

The new NOC, built with the capacity to expand up to 600 square meters, is able to host more than 100 workplaces and to manage up to 40,000 network elements. It will enable the supervision and management of a broad range of elements both in fixed and mobile networks. The total ZTE investment will be up to €10 million in the next two to three years, providing new job opportunities for more than 100 qualified engineers.

The initial operation will start in June 2012 and is expected to employ around 40 local engineers in the NOC by the end of this year.

In recent years, ZTE has strengthened its focus on the European market, and rapid expansion has been followed by increased investment in the region. Budapest was chosen as the location of the NOC because of its high education standards, supportive government, central geographic position in Europe, and the attractive environment of the city.

"ZTE has been operating a subsidiary in Hungary for more than six years,” said Mr Zhu Jinyun. “The NOC is a major new investment and an important milestone to strengthen the company's regional presence and to serve out European partners at the highest level.”
