New CEO to focus on growth and innovation for accelerating
ZTE's growth in the Indian market
17 January 2011, Shenzhen – ZTE Telecom India Pvt. Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of ZTE Corporation, (H share stock code: 0763.HK / A share stock code: 000063.SZ), a leading global provider of telecommunications equipment and network solutions, todayannounced the appointment of Mr. Cui Liangjun as the new chief executive. Incumbent CEO Mr. Huang Dabin will continue working with ZTE at its headquarters in Shenzhen, China.
Prior to his new role, Mr. Cui was the Vice General Manager and Chief Technology Officer of ZTE Telecom India Pvt. Ltd. With over 15 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, he will be responsible for leading the ZTE India executive team as it continues to focus on growing ZTE's presence in India and driving innovative offerings.
Having joined ZTE in 1998, Mr. Cui has served as the General Manager of the Development Division of ZTE's Nanjing R&D Center and as the Vice President of the Center R&D Institute.
In 2008, he joined ZTE Telecom India Pvt. Ltd., as the Vice General Manager and CTO and was responsible for the company's market management and technical sales functions. Since his association with ZTE India, Mr. Cui has focused on understanding the trends and the requirements of the Indian telecom market and meeting customer demands through innovations in technology and service.
