JSFC SISTEMA and ZTE Corporation to demonstrate GLONASS/GPS/GALILEO/BEIDOU device during Russia Day at Shanghai Expo

28 September 2010, Shanghai- JSFC SISTEMA, the largest diversified public financial corporation in Russia and Intellect Telecom, its R&D division, have joined with ZTE Corporation (“ZTE”) (H share stock code: 0763.HK / A share stock code: 000063.SZ), a leading global provider of telecommunications equipment and network solutions, to demonstrate the first navigation and communication terminal that will use the Russian GLONASS, US GPS, European GALILEO and Chinese BEIDOU satellite systems. The demonstration took place during Russian Day at EXPO 2010 Shanghai.

The innovative design of the multi-mode navigation device ensures it will receive and process signals from all the major navigation satellite networks, creating a highly reliable and efficient positioning service, as well as enabling mobile telephone calls using the GSM and CDMA networks.

"There is great demand for a trustworthy navigation system that can be used across borders. ZTE's innovative technology enables us to bring an effective solution to market that combines a global navigation system with an easy-to-use device, providing our customers with the experience they are looking for," said Yuri Gromakov, CEO of Intellect Telecom.

"As the best terminal customization partner, we worked closely with Intellect Telecom to create a device that will appeal to its subscribers and support a highly-reliable service," said Mr. Zeng Li, Vice President, ZTE Sales Division. "ZTE and Intellect Telecom have been building this strategic partnership since 2009. In May 2010, we successfully demonstrated together at SviazExpocomm in Moscow. In addition to the navigation device, vehicle mounted devices, navigators and handheld terminals for both GSM and CDMA will make their first appearance during Russian Day at EXPO 2010 Shanghai."

The terminals designed by ZTE and Intellect Telecom are currently compatible with GLONASS and GPS and will work with BEIDOU and GALILEO when they come to market. The terminals are intended for use in navigation, positioning, emergency communications and dispatching.

ZTE shipped 28 million handsets globally in the first half of 2010, which represents a 40% increase year-on-year.
