The company recently received its latest and very significant accolade from The Asian Wall Street Journal, being named among ‘Asia's 200 Most-Admired Companies' during an annual readers' survey.  ZTE is ranked 7th among the Top 10 Most-Admired Companies in China that include, among others, Beijing search engine company Baidu.com and PC maker Lenovo. The company is the only corporation representing the telecom equipment maker sector in the Top 10 list.

The prominent international business publication commissioned market research firm Colmar Brunton to poll about 2,477 executives and professionals in 12 Asia Pacific countries from 11 May – 3 July 2007 to determine their perception about the performance and contribution of companies in Asia in enhancing socio economic and way of life in the region.

The readers were asked to rate companies using five key attributes: innovativeness in responding to customer needs, corporate reputation, management's long term vision, quality of products and services, and financial reputation.

Over the years, the business landscape in China has changed, with companies that constantly innovate and introduce new products that address market requirements leading the industry. ZTE is among the most innovative and proactive companies that has been constantly rolling out new solutions and services both for the domestic and international markets – one of the key reasons why the AWSJ readers voted the company as one of most admired firms in China.

This is a clear embodiment of what we have achieved over the years in delivering innovative and customized solutions and services to our customers as a result of our  continuous technology research and development efforts to meet industry's needs," said Tian Wenguo, Executive Vice President, ZTE Corporation. "We adhere to producing high quality and cost effective solutions, putting enormous investments in our global R&D facilities, the key reasons why more and more carriers and telecom operators worldwide are trusting and partnering with us to establish reliable network infrastructure in their respective countries."

The AWSJ recognition comes after another prestigious award was received by ZTE during a recently concluded global event in Hong Kong. The company obtained recognition at the prestigious InfoVision Award for its Metro Network Technologies and Services particularly for its Optical Networking RPR-embedded MSTP solution, held in conjunction with Broadband World Forum Asia 2008 in Hong Kong.
