ZTE Corporation, a leading global provider of telecommunications equipment and network solutions, will launch the world's fastest HSUPA data card at next week's 3GSM World Congress 2007 in Barcelona, Spain.

The MF362, scheduled to enter into market in Q2 2007, is a HSDPA / HSUPA compatible data card supporting a wireless uplink transmission rate of 2.0 Mbps and a wireless downlink of 7.2 Mbps.

The MF362 is one of the first HSUPA cards to be introduced to the market. It will be sold in volume to operators around the world for sale to end users as a ZTE or operator branded device.

HSUPA, the next step after HSDPA, enhances the data speed in the uplink up to a theoretical maximum of 5.7 Mbps, from the 384 kbps currently available with HSDPA. Studies show the demand for a higher uplink speed will grow together with the soaring demand for the downlink speed. Traditional business applications such as email and image/data uploads and consumer applications such as network gaming will greatly benefit from HSUPA's enhanced uplink speeds.

"The MF362 is another technology milestone for ZTE. We launched the first HSDPA data card with a downlink rate of 3.5Mbps in 2005, and once again we have shown that we can bring cutting-edge products to market very early in a new technology's life cycle," said ZTE senior vice president Mr. He Shiyou. "This means that ZTE customers can continue to use the latest technologies to communicate as effectively as possible."

The M362 enables communications using HSDPA, HSUPA and UMTS at 850MHz and 2100MHz; GSM, GPRS and EDGE at 900, 1800 and 1900MHz. EDGE Multislot Class12 connections deliver the fastest possible data transfer. The M365 card is compatible with Windows 2000 and XP and Mac OS, and is certified Vista ready. A Type II PCMCIA card, it also has a Cardbus 32bit interface.
ZTE offers a complete range of 3.5 G terminals including mobiles, data cards, and USB modems. ZTE's HSDPA products can be upgraded smoothly to 7.2Mbps, meeting users' demand for higher downlink rates.
