On January 28th, ZTE's Academy in Algeria officially opens. Mr. Abed Louiza, the representative of the Minister of MPTIC (Ministere de la Poste et des Technologies de l'Information et de la Communication), Mr. Slimane Khireddine, the CEO of Algeria Telecom, and Mr. Zang Zhengchun, the Commercial Counsellor from China Embassy in Algeria, hosted the ribbon cutting ceremony.

ZTE's ENPT Academy in Algeria, is a joint project between ZTE and the ENPT (L'ECOLE NATIONALE DES POSTES ET TELECOMMUNICATIONS). The Academy is ZTE's first large scale training centre in Africa and its first French-speaking Training Centre.

The Academy is located on the ENPT campus, a training institute subordinated to the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications in Algeria. ZTE Corporation, a leading global provider of telecommunications equipment and network solutions, provided CDMA2000, GSM, SDH and ADSL equipment for the 300 square meters laboratory. The facilities, combined with a local bilingual (French and English) team of technical tutors, enable the Academy to offer courses at different levels (Basic, Intermediate & Advanced) as well as extra training sessions on specific topics, satisfying the training demands of this fast growing telecommunications market.

ZTE's Academy aims to help satisfy the training demands of not only the Algerian market, but also other French-speaking African countries. As a branch of ZTE technical support, it will provide customers with up-to-date technical training and contribute to the development of the telecommunications sector in the countries where ZTE operates.
