ZTE makes its mark at CommunicAsia 2005

ZTE Corporation, the China´s largest listed telecommunications equipment manufacturer and the largest local wireless solutions provider, returned to CommunicAsia 2005 yesterday and made an impressive appearance by showcasing the world´s first cdma2000-based digital trunking system, GoTa solution, as well as ADSL, NGN, 3G, WiMax and service products.

ZTE hosted a Ministerial visit on the opening day. Mr Lee Boon Yang, the Minister of Information, Communication and Arts of Singapore said: "Singapore welcomes vendors like ZTE to bring the world-class products and solutions to serve the local markets."
 
Mr Shi Lirong, the Senior Vice President of ZTE, received the honoured guests and said: "Singapore has a very mature market and is the attractive place for major industry players. ZTE takes Singapore as its hub for Asia-Pacific Region and looks forward to the opportunities to cooperate with the local and multinational carriers."

ZTE´s attendance at CommunicAsia has also aroused great interest from both local and international media. Mr Shi Lirong gave an exclusive interview to Eg Yik Fan, the famous producer for Financial News/Moneyweek of Local MediaCorp News at ZTE´s booth and was also interviewed by CNBC from the show´s live TV studios.

ZTE´s climax was a press conference to announce the world leading digital trunking system GoTa to the public. Dozens of journalists came to the conference and reported on the story.
