On March 22, 2005 ZTE Corporation (Shenzhen: 000063 Hong Kong: 0763), China´s largest listed telecommunications manufacturer and leading wireless solutions provider held a grand inauguration ceremony for its pan-European roadshow at the Crown Plaza close to Marmara, the picturesque tourist resort of Istanbul. "LET´S 3G WITH ZTE" - the slogan of the roadshow stretched on two large-size exhibition vehicles - appeared extremely striking under the cold but blue sky, delivering great passion for and confidence in this inroad.

Steady streams of VIP guests came to attend the splendid ceremony, involving over 300 important industry officials, carriers and reporters respectively from Turkey´s Ministry of Communications and Transportation, Turkey Telecommunications Association, GSM Telecommunications Association, Turk Telekom (Turkey´s largest telecom operator), three Turkish mobile operators including Turkcell, Telsim and Avea, and various mainstream media resources. Mr. Abdullatif SENER, Turkey´s Deputy Prime Minister delivered an impassioned speech on behalf of the Turkish government at the opening ceremony, and the CEOs of Turkcell, Telsim and Avea respectively extended warm congratulations on ZTE´s initiatives.

The roadshow - the first kind of largest scale for Chinese telecommunications manufacturers in Europe - is ZTE´s another significant step into strategic markets, following its strategic partnerships with Portugal Telecom, Alcatel (Paris: CGEP.PA and NYSE: ALA) and France Telecom established earlier 2005. Advocating "Let´s 3G with ZTE", the roadshow will cover the whole European continent, visiting Turkey, Greece, Romania, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Poland, Germany, France, Spain and Portugal between March and July this year, with the journey within European continent exceeding 10,000 kilometers.

The roadshow aims at displaying advanced wireless technology and solutions for the 3G era, including the Corporation´s industry-leading UMTS UMTS one-stop solution, " Operation & Maintenance Factory" solution for operators´ profits, NGN converged solutions and a wide range of customer-oriented services like new-generation voice, data and video converged services. In addition, the roadshow, by combining ZTE´s excellence in systems, terminals and services as well as extensive experience in global UMTS and NGN network constructions, will strive to see face-to-face information exchanges with European customers, expecting to bring them fresh experiences and trials in areas of operation concept, technical application and marketing innovations.

As one of the most developed telecom markets in the world, Europe boasts a wealth of renowned telecom corporations and most applications of 3G UMTS. ZTE, empowered by its cutting-edge UMTS and NGN technologies as well as solid projections of the whole European markets, is pleased to provide high-quality products and services to European carriers.

"To date, ZTE has established 15 offices in Europe, providing local marketing consultations, technical supports and service guarantees. Besides, we have forged long-term strategic relationships with a great number of European operators and telecom equipment manufacturers," remarked Ms Fang Rong, Vice President of ZTE. "Through the roadshow, more European operators will experience great wonderfulness enabled by our 3G UMTS and NGN solutions, and will firmly believe that the partnership with ZTE will definitely drive up their competitive edge and revenues" added Ms. Fang.
