ZTE Corporation (Shenzhen: 000063, Hong Kong: 0763), China´s largest listed telecommunications manufacturer and leading wireless solutions provider, has been included in the ´Top 100 Information Technology Companies´ by leading US business publication, BusinessWeek.

The Corporation, the only Chinese telecoms vendor included, was placed 80th in the prestigious list, among telecoms industry giants Nokia, Samsung, Ericsson, BT and Cisco, and other leading companies such as Microsoft, IBM and Apple.

"We are delighted to have been included in this list," said Mr. Yin Yimin, President at ZTE. "This is a sign of our growing international status in the Information Technology industry."

In 2004, the Corporation was successfully listed on the Main Board of the HKSE, becoming the first A share listed company to be listed on the Main Board of the HKSE. ZTE´s turnover from the international market increased by 133.5% over 2003 to reach RMB 4,575.6 million (approximately US$553.28 million), representing 21.5% of the Corporation´s 2004 turnover.

"ZTE has notched up a series of successes in the wireless, network and handset sectors in 2004," said Mr. Yin. "We have also scored sweeping breakthroughs in domestic and overseas markets, especially large-scale commercial deployment of our strategic products like 3G and NGN."

To date, ZTE has sold over 100 million lines of wireless products to more than 40 countries around the world. The Corporation also has extensive 3G capabilities across the spectrum of UMTS, CDMA2000 and TD-SCDMA, and has become one of the few companies in the world to provide solutions that cover these main three mobile technologies.

ZTE´s full series of data products has been widely used by corporate operators worldwide. In April, 2005, ZTE clinched a strategic agreement of US$200 million with Atlas Interactive (India) Private Limited for supplying and commissioning a TVoIP network as the foundation for a range of triple play (voice, video and data) services for subscribers.

Following its strategic partnerships with Portugal Telecom, Alcatel and France Telecom established in 2005, ZTE has embarked on a European roadshow, covering 10 countries including Romania, Germany, France and the UK.

"2005 will be the year of internationalization for ZTE," added Mr. Yin. "We will bring our comprehensive, cutting-edge product range, including our 3G technology, next generation networks, IPTV and GoTa technology, to major overseas markets."
