On July 30, ZTE signed a turnkey contract with Romanian operator POSTelecom for constructing a national data network for Romania. According to the contract, ZTE will build NGN networks in major cities of the country, offering voice over IP, data and xDSL based broadband access services. This indicates ZTE’s NGN products have won more recognition in the international market. The signing ceremony was held at the Crowne Plaza, Bucharest, hosted by Mr. Gabriel Matesscu representing POSTelecom. VIPs attending the ceremony included Mr. Chen Delai, Chinese ambassador to Romania, officials from the Romanian Telecom Ministry, the General Manager of Posta Romana of Romania, and some other major shareholders of POSTelecom. ZTE began its R&D in NGN as early as 1998. Now, ZTE is the No. one NGN vendor in China as well as a main player in the overseas market. ZTE has a full range of NGN products and can provide end-to-end solutions for operators.
