On June 27, Bonn hosted some of the world´s leading telecommunication technologies when ZTE Corporation (Shenzhen: 000063, Hong Kong: 0763), China´s largest listed telecommunications manufacturer and leading wireless solutions provider, visited Germany during its first pan-European roadshow.

Visitors to the roadshow saw first-hand, and for the first time, ZTE´s advanced technology and solutions for the 3G era, including the Corporation´s industry-leading UMTS V3 system, Next Generation Network (NGN) and an innovative convergence of fixed-line and mobile 3G solutions.

"Germany is one of the strategic markets for ZTE. We have established a strong team with considerable local talent to provide marketing, technical support and after-sale services to our customers," said Mr Wei Zaisheng, CFO at ZTE. "Capitalizing on high-quality products and full package of solutions, we are confident to bring consistent revenues and successes to operators."

In 2004, ZTE recorded contract sales of over US$ 4 billion, of which over 40% was attributable to international sales.

In 2005, ZTE has made significant steps into the European market. In March, ZTE announced that it is to become a global supplier of ADSL equipment to France Telecom. In February, ZTE announced an agreement with Alcatel that will see ZTE´s CDMA radio access portfolio integrated into Alcatel´s CDMA end-to-end solutions. In January, ZTE signed a research and development Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Portugal Telecom and won a contract to supply Skylink, Russia´s largest CDMA operator, with an advanced CDMA network for Murmansk.

Recently, the Corporation has been included in the ´Top 100 Information Technology Companies´ by leading US business publication, BusinessWeek, being the only Chinese telecoms vendor among telecoms industry giants Nokia, Samsung, Ericsson, BT and Cisco, and other leading companies such as Microsoft, IBM and Apple.

"After 10-year experiences in international marketplaces, ZTE has successfully developed into a market leader from a trend follower." added Mr Wei.

During the roadshow, ZTE also held a series of workshops on technical fields like UMTS, NGN, WiMax, IPTV and GoTa, for extensive exchanges with telecom operators and experts.
