Recently, ZTE signed a framework agreement with Vietnam Railways for its railway communication network project. This is the first time for the Chinese telecom equipment manufacturer to enter the Vietnam market, and also the largest overseas transportation communication project ever undertaken by a Chinese enterprise.
Under the agreement, ZTE’s switching systems, transport products, access networks and digital dispatch systems will be used in the overall reconstruction and modernization of the railway communication signal system in the northern part of Vietnam. This project will greatly advance the modernization and enhance the security of Vietnam’s northern railways, as well as promoting the economy and tourism development of surrounding areas.
ZTE has had extensive experience in working on railway communication networks for over 10 years. Today, ZTE’s optical access network has a market share of more than 50% in China’s railway communication market, and its videoconferencing system boasts a market share of more than 70% in the railway videoconferencing market. According to customers’ special needs, ZTE has introduced the DXT, a digital dispatch system especially for the reconstruction of railway communication systems, to the access network technologies. DXT plays an important role in the reconstruction of railway communications. With professional and customized services, ZTE has been awarded the title of “railway communication expert”.
The Southeast Asian market is one of the first overseas markets that ZTE entered.
