In the morning of December 18, 2004, a group of special VIPs came to ZTE. Over 12 telecom ministers and their attendants from 12 African countries visited ZTE Headquarters based at the Hi-Tech Park in Shenzhen. The ministers were very happy visiting the exhibition hall and the production line. They highly praised ZTE´s achievements in African market in the past years.

These ministers are from 12 countries in Africa. They went to Beijing on December 10 for a 10-day telecom minister seminar hosted by the Commercial Ministry and the Ministry of Information. The Chinese organizer scheduled the attendants´ visit to China´s leading telecom manufacturers during the seminar.

The ministers´ visit to ZTE is a great honor to the Corporation, China´s largest listed telecom equipment provider and the largest local wireless supplier. It greatly encourages ZTE people both at home and abroad, especially ZTE overseas representatives in Africa.

ZTE´s market share in Africa is expanding rapidly. ZTE´s products have already been deployed in more than 14 countries like Egypt, Nigeria, Tunisia, Kenya, Zambia, Algeria, and Ethiopia.

As the Sino-Africa communication becomes more frequent, China´s telecom industry will find a more prospective development in this continent. ZTE looks forward to more opportunities in Africa.
