"The exhibition comes at a time when ZTE´s ongoing commitment to research and development is paying off in terms of fast growth at home and abroad," said Mr Shi Lirong, SVP of ZTE.  "ZTE has introduced multi-level product systems to meet the individual requirements of various customers by leveraging our diversified products and customised market strategies. As a result, in addition to consolidating our market presence in traditional switching and access products, we have made significant gains in new product markets, including PHS, CDMA and handsets."

ZTE has worked in Russia since 2000 and has won network licences for its major telecommunications products, including fixed networks, intelligent networks, GSM, CDMA and optical transport systems. ZTE has also established a regional service centre to provide engineering services for local projects.

The Corporation has had considerable success in the surrounding region with CDMA wireless local loop (WLL) and GSM contracts with OJSC Kazakhtelecom to help reconstruct the wireless-access part of its national rural switching network; contracts from JSC Tajiktelecom to help build GSM and MAN projects in Dushanbe, the nation´s capital; a contract with Russian GSM operator SMARTS to expand its network to 160,000 lines; and the construction of a CDMA450 network for Kuzbass Cellular Communication´s CDMA450 mobile network.

"ZTE aims to be the leading supplier in this region and visitors to our stand will be able to see for themselves that we have the products, the solutions and the people to make that mission successful," added Mr Shi Lirong.
