12 April 2018, Shenzhen, China - ZTE Corporation (0763.HK / 000063.SZ), a major international provider of telecommunications, enterprise and consumer technology solutions for the Mobile Internet, today announced that its Bearer Network products have witnessed a rapid growth during 2017, according to the report recently released by Ovum, a leading global technology research and consulting firm.

According to Ovum, ZTE’s ON global market share had increased by 1.84% in 2017, ranking No.2 in the world and No.1 in the growth.

In High-Speed Optics, ZTE ranks No.2 in the 100G ports market share and No.1 in the shipment increase with the growth rate of 3.46%.

In Core IP/MPLS of Service Provider Switching & Routing (SPSR), ZTE moves up one spot to No.4.

ZTE was dedicated to the ON and IP fields in 2017 and made remarkable achievements in both technological progress and commercial deployment.

In 2017, ZTE launched a commercially viable intelligent optical cross-connect product, which supports fully automatic optical cross-connection based on the all-optical switching technology. Capable of avoiding wrong fiber connections, the product can solve the problems of difficult deployment and maintenance, and reduce the overall network construction costs for operators.

In addition, ZTE’s ultra-large-capacity packet optical transport product ZXONE 9700 was rated “Leader” exclusively under the Core Packet-Optical Platform category by GlobalData, an internationally renowned telecommunications, software and IT service research firm.

Besides, ZTE ZXR10 T8000 core router supports SDN backbone network traffic optimization, and it is the first in the industry to provide the new Bit Indexed Explicit Replication (BIER) technology.

The innovations that ZTE has made in high-end routers will optimize the future-oriented seamless network solution, and help operators prepare for the big data challenges in the cloud and 5G era.
