Adhering to the principle of openness and transparency and fulfilling its commitment to the ICT industry security against cybersecurity threats, ZTE has established three cybersecurity labs in Nanjing, Brussels, and Rome. The three labs serve as a platform that enables global customers, regulators and other stakeholders to perform independent security assessments of ZTE products, services, processes, and also a platform for collaboration and communication. ZTE Cybersecurity Lab is a part of our governance system to offer our customers secure delivery of our products and services.
Nanjing Cybersecurity Lab
The lab located in Nanjing, China, is the largest and most comprehensive cybersecurity lab of ZTE. It provides the leading integrated 4G/5G whole-network environment and the assessment infrastructure to support multiple security assessment functions, including source code review, document review, penetration testing, among others.
As the second line of defense, and facilitator for some functions of the third line of defense, the lab independently assesses and verifies the security of the full series of ZTE products, covering all product lines and all-generation networks.
The lab is also a place to facilitate capability building, in-depth researches and explorations in the security field.
European Cybersecurity Lab
The lab in Brussels serves the whole European market with a focus on assessments of 4G/5G products. It supports establishing a real 5G environment for testing and allows customers and third parties to review the source code of ZTE products by remotely accessing the Nanjing Lab.
Located in the center of Europe, the lab is an essential platform for ZTE to collaborate with customers, regulators, and leading security companies in equipment assessment, capability exchange, and certification.
Italy Cybersecurity Lab
The Italian lab focuses on cyber security testing, and also on the support and evaluation of the regional market. It can remotely access the Nanjing Lab for source code review and also access the Brussels Lab for security tests.
It is not only a workplace in which our security experts operate, but also a collaborative platform between ZTE and institutions, universities and all stakeholders interested in capacity building and knowledge transfer.
