Jakarta, Indonesia, October 9, 2026 – ZTE Corporation (0763.HK / 000063.SZ), a global leading provider of integrated information and communication technology solutions, planted 300 mangrove seedlings at the Mangrove Ecotourism Centre Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK) on October 8, 2026 with the participation of company employees. The initiative is part of ZTE's One Tree, One Future program and represents the realization of the company's global Green Digital Path sustainability strategy in Indonesia. By involving employees directly, ZTE aims to foster greater environmental awareness and encourage active participation in sustainability efforts.

Liu Sen, President Director of ZTE Indonesia, said, "The planting of mangrove seedlings this time is a continuation of the One Tree, One Future initiative, which has become an inseparable part of our long-term commitment to environmental conservation. As part of the Green Digital Path strategy, we position this initiative as a concrete step to strengthen our contribution to reducing carbon emissions, both from company operations and environmental preservation efforts. This step is also in line with ZTE's Tech for Good philosophy, where the presence of technology must be balanced with a positive impact on the earth."

To ensure the long-term positive impact of the mangrove planting across ecological, social, and economic aspects, ZTE will support regular monitoring of the planting area. This is to ensure that each seedling can grow optimally to protect the coastal area from abrasion and sea wave erosion. Monitoring the growth of these seedlings also aims to maintain the sustainable function of the mangrove area as a tourist destination and educational facility for the community.

Green Digital Path Drives Carbon Emission Reduction and Energy-Saving Innovations

Green Digital Path is ZTE's global sustainability strategy in driving low-carbon development. This vision is cascaded down through four main dimensions: green company operations, green supply chain, green digital infrastructure, and green industry empowerment.

On the operational side, ZTE has established a systematic decarbonization roadmap to achieve carbon neutrality in its operations by 2040 and net-zero emissions by 2050, which has been validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). This roadmap helped ZTE reduce carbon emissions (Scope 1&2)  by 46% in 2025 compared to the 2021 base year.

In terms of the supply chain, ZTE has implemented the SPIRE 2.0 strategy to build an environmentally friendly value chain. As part of this effort, ZTE provided dual-carbon training for 97 supplier partners and guided 152 key supplier partners to compile carbon accounting reports. In addition, ZTE has also encouraged 83 key supplier partners to participate in CDP assessments and disclose information to the public.

In the development of digital infrastructure, ZTE has developed various energy-saving technologies across multiple areas, including data center temperature management. At the Indonesia Cloud & Datacenter Convention 2025, ZTE showcased Fan Wall Cooling and Liquid Cooling technologies designed to improve cooling efficiency and support energy-efficient data center operations.

Meanwhile, in terms of industry empowerment, ZTE has utilized 5G, cloud computing, and AI to help enterprise customers improve operational efficiency and pursue more energy-efficient digital operations. One such effort was realized through the establishment of a Joint Innovation Center with XLSMART in Jakarta. The facility focuses on driving AI-based network optimization, developing 5G-Advanced, and advancing technologies that enhance network efficiency and sustainability.

Tech for Good Delivers Tangible Benefits for Society and the Environment

Tech for Good is ZTE's global philosophy of presenting technology capable of bridging the digital divide while maintaining biodiversity balance. Based on this philosophy, ZTE invested CNY 35.37 million throughout 2025 to carry out various initiatives that helped improve the well-being of more than 100,000 people in over 15 countries, including Indonesia.

These initiatives include better access to education, medical assistance, environmental preservation, and rural revitalization. Throughout 2025, ZTE implemented more than 600 programs globally, involving around 20,000 employee volunteers.

Furthermore, the Tech for Good philosophy has been translated into various local programs in Indonesia, one of which is One Tree, One Future. Through this sustainable initiative, a series of plantings of hundreds of mangrove seedlings at the Mangrove Ecotourism Centre PIK, covering a total area of approximately 75 m²,is estimated to absorb around 35.5 kg CO₂e.

In addition to One Tree, One Future, ZTE also implements corporate social responsibility through ZTE United for Good. This program is part of the company's efforts to help improve the welfare of the community, one of which is done by providing donations for children in several orphanages.
