ZTE spotlights inclusive Connectivity and Computing at MWC Kigali 2025

Kigali, Rwanda, October 27, 2025 - ZTE Corporation (0763.HK / 000063.SZ), a global leading provider of integrated information and communication technology solutions, participated as founding partner,at MWC Kigali 2025, emphasizing inclusive connectivity and "AI for All" to accelerate Africa's digital economy.
Through keynote presentations from senior executives and experts, ZTE outlined how its "Connectivity + Computing" strategy can unlock new opportunities for Rwanda and the wider African market by expanding affordable coverage, strengthening all-optical foundations, and building open, efficient AI computing power that enables innovation across society.

Chen Qiong, Vice President of ZTE and CTO of ZTE MEA Region, delivered a keynote titled "From Potential to Prosperity: Activating an Intelligent and Inclusive Africa Together". He emphasized that the value of AI should not be measured solely by technology, but by how it benefits everyone. "Inclusive AI brings new opportunities for Africa's development." Chen said. He called for joint action among operators, governments, ecosystem partners, and innovators, with pragmatic roadmaps that balance coverage, cost, energy efficiency, and capability growth to translate potential into prosperity.
Building on this vision, ZTE showcased end-to-end innovations tailored to African scenarios. For the connectivity, ZTE presented a simplified, green innovations that brings wireless UniSite and all-optical foundations together, integrating key bands, reducing site footprint and power use, and extending fiber efficiently to improve coverage, capacity, and O&M while lowering TCO across urban and rural areas.
For the computing power, ZTE highlighted a full-stack portfolio that includes general servers, AI servers, and modular, high-efficiency data center solutions to deploy AI closer to users with better cost, energy, and performance. ZTE also displayed its affordable Full-Scenario AI Ecosystem devices, ranging from the youth-focused gaming smartphone nubia Neo 3 series to the ultra-slim nubia Air, as well as next-generation 5G-A & Wi-Fi 7 FWA & MBB solutions.

Lu Long, Deputy General Manager of RAN Marketing at ZTE , delivered a speech titled "From Inclusive Connectivity to Digital Inclusion - Together Lighting up Africa's Future". She stated, "By establishing a foundation of inclusive connectivity, we are committed to constructing end-to-end inclusive digital infrastructure and atomic capabilities in Africa. This foundation will facilitate the seamless flow of information, content and knowledge, achieve business format transformation and what's more substantially empower the startup and boost the productivity." Lu highlighted ZTE's continued focus on affordability, energy efficiency, and rapid deployment to drive inclusive growth and entrepreneurship.

Yang Lin, Chief Planning Engineer of Computing and Core Network Products at ZTE, shared insights in his speech "Take the AI Chances with Expanded Capabilities". He noted, "Utilizing the power of open source and the unique value of telco network, operators can get advantages to compete for the new chance of agentic AI with expanded portfolio and AI native network." He outlined how AI-native core networks, open AI stacks, and edge computing can help operators monetize differentiated experiences, automate operations, and participate in the emerging agentic AI ecosystem.
