Beijing, China, September 30, 2025 - ZTE Corporation (0763.HK / 000063.SZ), a global leading provider of information and communication technology solutions, joined hands with China Mobile Henan Branch to successfully demonstrate the AI+ New Calling Service based on a 5G commercial network at PT Expo China in Beijing. Powered by ZTE's real-time communications AI integration platform, along with its plug-in architecture and intelligent orchestration technology, the solution enables an intelligent-endogenous core network, seamlessly integrates diverse AI-driven media capabilities, and greatly enhances service innovation efficiency.

 

Based on the endogenous intelligent network architecture, ZTE has upgraded the traditional voice call entrance into an AI service entrance. By enabling intelligent scheduling within the core network, ZTE empowers operators to transform single voice services into diversified intelligent service platform, effectively increasing the ARPU value of users.

 

At PT Expo China, ZTE presented two innovative application scenarios in a live demonstration, offering a new paradigm for the intelligent transformation of the communications industry. Notably, both scenarios earned top recognition in the ICT China (2025) Case Collection. The "AI Anti-Fraud Construction of Security Defense Line and Real-Time Safeguard of User Property Security" won the first prize, while "AI Chat Assistance Breaking the Interaction Boundary and Reshaping Call Experience" received the second prize. These achievements highlight the strong innovation capabilities of both parties in advancing communications technology.

 

AI anti-fraud builds a security defense boundary against fraud to protect users' property in real time

For the pain points of telecom fraud, both parties have jointly launched the AI anti-fraud early warning service. Leveraging the low latency feature of the 5G network of China Mobile Henan Branch, ZTE analyzes voice content in real time during the call, identifies fraud through endogenous agents, and provides timely alerts to both the "victim" and the "guardian". When a suspicious call script is detected, the system immediately pushes warning information to the subscriber and notifies the subscriber of the preset guardian. The entire data flow does not go out of the network, ensuring user privacy and security, and providing technical support for anti-fraud governance.

 

AI chat assistant breaks the interaction boundary and reshapes call experience
On the demonstration site, when a user awakens the AI assistant during a call and asks for "Beijing food recommendation", the agent instantly generates a recommendation list of both pictures and texts, and pushes the list to the call interface via a one-way video stream. This function supports scenarios such as scenic spot query and food recommendation, implementing seamless "call as a service" experience.

 

This cooperation marks the evolution of 5G New Calling from proof-of-concept to commercial use, and from call duration operation to value operation. ZTE and China Mobile Henan Branch will continue to advance technological breakthroughs and drive the evolution of communications services towards intelligence, scenario-based, and security-based.
