    It is widely accepted by majority of operators that operation philosophy should be evolved from network-oriented to service and customer-oriented.     Actually, data source determines the data analysis effect. In traditional SQM, SLA and BI systems, alarm/ performance data from EMS and CDR files are often used as analysis basis. However, both of them may have certain flaws: the alarm /performance data collected from EMSs, which are often provided by the equipment manufacturers themselves, may not be able to guarantee its objectivity for analysis; the CDR data, on the other hand, cannot reflect the real-time state. Therefore, neither of them can perfectly address the new requirements for subscriber-specific operation and it is necessary to introduce new type of data source as the basis of analysis.

     

    Network signaling data runs throughfrom the client to the equipment, covering the full service process, including connection controlling and service content delivering, which makes it the perfect candidate for addressing these relevant requirements.
