The 7th ZTE Wireless User Congress and 5G Summit will be held in L’Aquila, Italy, on November 14-15, 2018.
Speakers from global operators,partners and consulting firms will be sharing their experience and viewpoints on future network planning,development,operations,as well as improving efficiency and quality of existing networks with new technologies. ZTE will continue to involve customers in its service improvement.

Innovation Research Center

In November 2017, ZTE established the 5G Innovation & Research Center in L'Aquila, Italy, to focus on the research and exploration of medium- and long-term future telecommunication and internet technology evolution. The establishment of the innovation center is an important measure that ZTE made in the Italian telecom market, which might actively promote the development of a 5G industry in Italy.

The Innovation Research Center is committed to building close interaction between the University of L'Aquila and ZTE's R&D departments, and have experiments in the innovation center. The cooperation between the two parties also provides a solid foundation for promoting research projects in European Union.

L'Aquila and the University in the city have jointly launched some initiatives aimed at creating an innovation-oriented urban laboratory. As one of the key 5G cities identified by the Italian Ministry of Economic Development, L'Aquila was selected as a trial commercial test site and is scheduled to undergo commercial trials within 2020. The Innovation Research Center will provide 5G end-to-end solutions for Europe, including 5G wireless access technologies, next-generation fixed-line, and bearer technologies, virtualized core networks, large video, NB-IoT, 5G smart applications, and other innovative research.

In the future, ZTE will also conduct a series of in-depth research cooperation in the joint innovation research center with all partners, including Wind Tre, Open Fiber in a variety of new technologies to build a 5G smart city in L'Aquila.
