  • 1.Product Introduction
    ZTE CSS2000 Cloud Storage is an independently-developed massive non-structured data storage product that can economically and efficiently store and manage massive file data. It is applicable to scenarios requiring big capacity, high throughput, and high reliability.
    The cloud storage architecture of the ZTE CSS2000 consists of the hardware resource layer, cloud storage software layer, and service application layer. The hardware resource layer contains hardware resources on the basis of which the cloud storage is deployed. It uses the X86 servers. The cloud storage software layer contains software resources used by the system. Through software virtualization, it virtualizes the massive physical storage space on servers into a unified storage resource pool and provides the external with standard storage interfaces, including NFS, CIFS, POSIX, and FTP. The service application layer contains service applications provided according to the application scenarios.

    (1)Use the total distributed architecture so that the system has no single-node fault and the breakdown of any device cannot affect the service.  
    (2)Support the file duplication, RAID cross-node redundancy strategy so that the data is not lost and read/write is not interrupted in the case that multiple hard disks or servers break down.  
    (3)Support the cold/hot tiered storage by storing the frequently-requested data into the high-performance SSD hard disks and cold data into the low cost big capacity SATA hard disks to promote the hot data access performance.   
    (4)Support the dynamic scaling by adding nodes online to expand the storage capacity and CPU processing capability without service interruption. Both the storage capacity and system throughput can increase in a linear mode.  
    (5)Use a globally single name space to ensure that each storage service node has the same data storage capability and system management capability.  
    (6)High availability. When a single machine breaks down, the service on it can be automatically taken over by other nodes so that the service of the whole system is not affected.    
    (7)Support the storage domain deployment across the data center, realize remote backup disaster recovery, and then ensure system reliability to avoid the problem that the whole system cannot provide services upon power-off of the equipment room, and main network fault or disaster.  
    (8)Support one-click automatic batch installation, upgrade, and inspection to significantly shorten the installation, upgrade, or inspection period and improve system maintainability.
