iClass is a type of professional teaching software that can be used in multimedia classrooms, student computer rooms, and e-training classrooms of general education, vocational education, and higher education organizations, and all kinds of training centers. It supports rich teaching content display, flexible class interaction, and complete class management.
ZTE combines its iClass and cloud desktop to provide the one-stop education service without needing to consider multi-vendor compatibility. The whole application environment includes the desktop management system, iClass teacher client, and iClass student client. Teachers can provide interactive teaching to students based on the iClass.
1.Teaching Content Display
●Screen broadcast: The teacher can broadcast the teaching content such as PPT slides and Word documents to students.
●Online cinema: The teacher can push the video that is played on the teacher’s screen to a group of students or all students without any delay.
●Video broadcast: The teacher can broadcast the video image taken by camera to a group of students or all students. When the video is broadcasting on live, the teacher can set the play mode such as selecting the full screen or window mode. The teacher can also push audio broadcast to students during video broadcasting, and control student terminals by locking the mouse or keyboard.
●Cloud language teaching: The computing classroom and language classroom are combined to create a brand-new language learning environment with multiple voice features such as speaking skill training, simultaneous interpretation, and speaking test.
●Student demo: The teacher can designate one student to give a demo, and the student’s screen can be broadcast to screens of other students. While the student is demonstrating, the teacher can make audio broadcast to the student’s terminal.
●Teacher-student communication: The teacher can send text messages or notifications to one or more students. The teacher can flexibly select the student terminals for communication in one-to-one or one-to-multiple mode.
●File sending and receiving: The teacher can send teaching files to one or multiple students. Students can also send assignments to the teacher.
●Hand raising: The student can raise his/her hand or send a message to the teacher for help and communicate with the teacher. The iClass lists the hand raising requests in time order.
●Template switching: The administrator sets the templates that can be changed by the teacher so that the teacher can, with one click, switch the student desktop that is operating into a new template. After switchover, the student desktop can directly enter the system memory status. If some software or file is opened when the template is made, the student can see the opened software or file after template switchover. (Note: This feature needs the separate ultra speed desktop).
●Remote monitoring: The teacher can remotely monitor the screen of student desktops. The teacher can also set the number of student screens displayed.
●Warning by blank screen: When a student is distracted or disturbs the class, the teacher can turn the student’s terminal into the blank screen mode through the “blank screen” function to prompt the student to concentrate. If necessary, the teacher can cancel the blank screen warning. The blank screen operation can be set for only some students, and the blank screen picture can be configured, including prompt words, color and font of the words, background color, and time duration of the blank screen.
●Enabling/Disabling mouse and keyboard/USB storage/Internet access: The teacher can remotely enable or disable student terminals’ mouse, keyboard, USB storage, or Internet access through the teacher desktop.
●Unified management of terminals: The teacher can switch on/off one or a batch of registered terminals through the teacher client.
